Echoes of a Sandhill's Sunrise Ballet is an original oil painting capturing a sandhill crane suspended in a moment of courtship dance, wings fully extended over shallow water at dawn. This piece builds on a layering technique I rely on often: alternating glazes and opaques in oil, accompanied by hot wax to add texture and depth, allowing light to interact with form in a way that brings the dance to life with intensity and quiet power.
